Ever dreamt of making your very own clothes? This is the course for you!

This course runs over 5 weeks and will teach you the basics of making clothes from scratch! We will start from pattern blocks, I have several different blocks that you can start from to make a top, bottom, or dress style garment. We will be sticking to fairly basic patterns to make the process as smooth as possible. From pattern-making, we will do a round of fitting and making adjustments then finishing your final item with hems and closures.

This course will have a max of 4 people so that you have as much personal building as you need!

You will need a designing/sewing kit for this course, which includes:

A french curve ruler, 2 meters of 150cm wide calico( or any scrap fabric will do, it is always useful to use a fabric similar to the one you want to use for the final product. keep in mind that some fabric is harder to work with like satin, stretch, and velvet), sewing thread, fabric scissors, dressmaker pins, tailors chalk, measuring tape, and un-picker.

You can purchase this kit for $50 just let us know that you will be requiring one, we also have extra of these supplies that you can borrow if you run out or forget to bring something to the class.

Bring your own sewing machine if you have it! It is useful to get used to one machine and will make it easier for you to get comfortable sewing. If you do not have a machine we do have machines in-store you can use.
